Welcome to Tulo Engage Pulse¶
Tulo Engage Pulse adds knowledge and context for how your customers use your products, Pulse is available as an add-on to the Engage platform and consists of the following modules:
Product engagement¶
Provides insights into how you products engage your visitors and can give answers to questions like:
- Which articles are view and read?
- Which articles drives subscription purchase?
- Which articles are visitors engaging with?
- Trends, how does views/reads in current period relate to corresponding previous period?
Customer engagement¶
A user-profile is created for all logged in users that contains useful information about the customer, it's subscriptions and hopefully activity on your products.
A user-profile provides insights into:
- How many days has the user been active?
- What kind of devices is the user using?
- What kind of articles is the user viewing/reading?
- How much is the customer exploring your products?
Engagement is resolved into an engagement-score that can for example be used to find paying customers that are not that active on your products and in risk of eventual churn.
Customer segmentation¶
By indexing the user-profile it is possible to create segments by combining the different properties available in the segment-editor, properties like account/profile, subscription, behaviour and engagement on your products.
Segments can then be materialized and downloaded for further processing in for example marketing automation systems.
Getting started¶
In order to provide the above mentioned functionality in Engage Pulse, user behaviour on your websites need to be collected into the Engage Pulse platform. This is taken care of by installing the Engage Tracking script on your websites/products, the script collects pageviews and custom events and pushes them into the platform where it is processed automatically.
You will receive a starter-pack with the tracker script and configuration details when you want to take a closer look at Engage Pulse.

Frequently asked questions¶
Engage Pulse and Engage Enterprise (Engage Data)¶
Engage Pulse can be used without Engage Enterprise, where the data is stored in a database where resources are shared, in contrast to Engage Enterprise where you have your own database cluster. Engage Pulse can of course also be used with Engage Enterprise.
Using Engage Pulse without Engage Enterprise means:
- Data is stored in separate databases but using shared resources for processing and queries.
- Amount of data stored is limited, see the different pricing plans for more information.
- Data from your websites is collected continously but processed into your own database with a delay.
