Ranking¶
Target Audience: Users, Stakeholders
Release version: 4.5.3
Introduction¶
This section describes the Payway Ranking concept.
How are ranks used?¶
Ranks in Payway are used to determine whether a package change should be handled as an upgrade or downgrade. This feature is always enabled, and as such does not need to be enabled by Adeprimo.
Use case - Upgrade¶
If the package the user is currently on has a lower rank than the package they are changing into, an upgrade will occur.
Use case - Downgrade¶
If the package the user is currently on has a higher rank than the package they are changing into, a downgrade will occur.
Use case - Downgrade¶
If the package the user is currently on has the same rank as the package they are changing into, a downgrade will occur.
Use case - Default behaviour¶
If the package the user is currently on is missing a rank (0-rank), default behaviour will be used.
Default behaviour works by comparing payment period prices. More on how the default behaviour works can be read upon here.
